TETFund Research and Development Sub-Committee on Pharmaceuticals was today in Ahmadu Bello University to interact with the Institution in order to work out modalities for the establishment of National Research Foundation.
The team leader, Prof. Lawal Alhassan Buchi, ably represented by Prof. Yusuf Sa’idu, told the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabir Bala, that they were in ABU because of the pivotal role the University was playing in training and research in pharmaceutical sciences.
“The Committee is at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria to interact with the University on the quest by the Executive Secretary, TETFund to set a research agenda for Mr. President and work out modalities for the establishment of National Research Foundation for the country,” he said.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Prof. Danladi A. Ameh, who received members of the Committee on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, expressed appreciation for the visit, saying the University would support the committee to accomplish its mission in line with Mr. President’s research agenda for the country.
The Committee members were later taken to the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences where they were expected to interact with experts on pharmaceuticals.
